After a cold, foggy start, Nagambie put on a perfect day for another successful lubricator installation, this one along the Shepparton Line Upgrade. The lubricator was installed on a bi-directional track featuring 2 bars and 2 axle counters. These Wayside Pumping Stations utilises the JSG Industrial Systems SRL controller which has been designed and developed for wayside lubrication to offer a more efficient and modernised way of managing rail lubrication digitally.
This robust and reliable system is designed to evenly distribute grease on the Gauge Face, significantly reducing wheel flange and rail wear that typically occurs at curved sections of the track. The Grease used for this project is RS Clare Supreme, a non-toxic, biodegradable curved rail lubricant with excellent EP/Anti-wear properties.
